Keith Carradine returned this season on Dexter, bringing special agent Frank Lundy back into the life of Dexter, Deb and Miami’s newest serial killer.
But the character didn’t stick around too long, as he appeared to be bite the literal bullet last night when he and Deb were gunned down in a parking lot.
It looks like Dexter’s sister will make it, but the odds aren’t good for Carradine’s Lundy.
“It didn’t come as a complete shock,” the actor told TV Guide Magazine when asked about his character’s fate. “The scenario was laid out pretty clear to me when they asked me to come back.”

Did Trinity take out Lundy? Or is there any chance Anton’s jealousy led to a heinous act?
Don’t feel badly for Carradine, however.
He’ll guest star on both Dollhouse and Damages in the near future.

David Ramsey came aboard Dexter last season as Anton; first, as Quinn’s criminal informant; then - and now - as Deb’s serious boyfriend.
As viewers saw during last week’s season four premiere, Anton and Deb are currently going strong. But how long will that last with super agent Frank Lundy back in town?
Ramsey dishes on this storyline and more in a recent interview with E! News:
On the future between Deb and Anton: Things get hotter. She moves in, but there’s some strain on the relationship. There are some things from the past, her past, that come back.
On Deb’s issues: It is Lundy and the self-deprecating psyche of [her entire] family that causes the huge strain. The Morgans have some serious issues. Between that and the former lover, it causes some major drama between Anton and Debra. The major strain is Debra’s doing.
On possible marriage between the characters: There’s room for absolute marriage between Anton and Debra. She loves him enough to move in that direction. Does it happen in this season? No. Can it happen? Yes. They are strong enough to survive that. I think it’s going to be her choice. Anton is absolutely there, but it’s going to be her recognizing she’s worthy of that kind of love.
Wow. Sounds like Ramsey knows a lot about what’s to come. Would you wanna see Deb settle down with Anton?

Finally, we get some sort of answer to the question posed by several previews and trailers about Dexter’s fourth season in which Dexter Morgan is now living life in suburbia as a husband and a father. Is he really living the dream? It certainly doesn’t look like it, at least based on the season opener, which wastes no time giving viewers a glimpse of the rigors of parenthood while introducing the highly anticipated Trinity Killer.
Read no further if you have not seen “Living the Dream.”
A naked John Lithgow proves to be a creepy serial killer who attacks a woman in her home by stripping her down in the bathtub and slicing her leg until she bleeds out. It’s outright horrible but it effectively gives us an idea of what kind of sinister Frank Lundy is looking for. Speaking of Lundy, he’s back in Miami and it looks like his presence will stir up tension between Deb and Anton, who are still making things work in their relationship. On a side note, we also find Angel and Lt. LaGuerta having a secret affair.
Unfortunately, no interaction has been made yet by Dexter and the Trinity Killer — which is understandable given Dexter’s hectic situation. Juggling family and work, he’s found himself in unfamiliar territory, not able to focus on his work properly thanks to sleep deprivation. He then realizes that he may have taken more than he can handle as he uses the wrong notes in a court hearing, consequently letting a killer go free. Oh and he also fails to take advantage of a potential victim’s weakest point as he falls asleep while waiting for him outside a bar.
In spite of everything, Dexter manages to give in to his “Dar Passenger” urges and kills the murderer that initially got away. And just as I thought America’s Favorite Serial Killer can really have it all, Dexter leaves me at the edge of my seat when he falls asleep while driving and crashes his car which contains the remains of his first victim this season.

The fourth season of Dexter premieres this Sunday night on Showtime. You can watch a couple clips from the opening episode now, as Dexter adjusts to family life and to the presence of a new serial killer in town: The Trinity Killer, played by John Lithgow.

According to Michael Ausiello’s latest spoiler column, this murderer will claim the life of a major character during the first half of the season. Who will it be? Our money is on Quinn.
In other Dexter storyline news, Dexter and Rita will welcome a very surprising houseguest in November. No guesses here on the identity of that individual.

Jaime Murray is the newest Beautiful person.
Sources tell us exclusively that the British actress, best known for her turn as wicked Lila Tournay on season two of Dexter, has joined the cast of the CW’s The Beautiful Life for a multi-episode arc.
But where does the new girl fit in to the fashion-crazed world of TBL? Here’s what we’re hearing…
According to insiders, Murray plays Vivienne, a powerful wardrobe stylist who has eyes for Corbin Bleu’s character, a young model named Isaac. Look for an age-inappropriate liaison between the two characters. Corbin’s Isaac is one of a group of young models trying to make it in the supercompetitive world of New York City couture. His fellow fine young things include Sara Paxton, Ashley Madekwe, Nico Tortoella and Ben Hollingsworth.
The Beautiful Life premieres Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 9 p.m. on the CW.
Are you excited for this new series? Do you think TBL is a good match for America’s Next Top Model?
