Dexter Season 4, Episode 3 “Blinded By the Light” Recap
ByDexter’s house gets vandalized. There is spray paint everywhere. Rita and their neighbors have a neighborhood watch meeting in the living room. They decide on a plan to have their streets watched 24/7, which is going to make it difficult for Dexter to slip in and out to make his kills. Vandalism in the town gets worse, and Dexter suspects a teenager to be the perpetrator, but it turns out to be his father. Dexter confronts him and learns that his wife died and left his life in shambles and that he is no longer going to be able to pay rent. Dexter is relieved that he is leaving the neighborhood. On Dexter’s way back home, some motion-censored lights come on and he grabs a broom and breaks the bulbs. Rita see’s all this happen.
The Trinity Killer makes his next kill. He forces his victim, a mother of two, to stand at the edge of a building then falls to her death. Lundy thinks this killing involves the serial killer and Debra agrees. But Quinn and LaGuerta insist that, without more evidence, it is a suicide. LaGuerta tells Debra that if she wants, she can continue to investigate on her own, which means she would be spending more time with Lundy. She is convinces herself she is in love with Anton but the good time she has hanging out with Lundy makes her seriously reconsider her relationship with Anton.
LaGuerta and Batista’s relationship is starting to get complicated. LaGuerta is worried that they won’t be able to account for the time they spend together. Batista is more focused on keeping their relationship going. Quinn still thinks Dexter is going to tell someone about taking money from the crime scene. Dexter really doesn’t care.
